Why flat rate matters. Most online printers calculate shipping by weight at checkout, so a heavy order can add far more than you expected — one national competitor charges $20.32 on a 100-copy order. Ours is $10 whether you order 100 copies or 5,000, and nothing at all over $125. The price you work out on this page is the price you pay.

Oversized items — 12″×18″, banners, and posters — ship at cost and are quoted with your order, since those don't fit a flat rate honestly.

Large Runs

Big Jobs Are Quoted Separately — As Low as $0.07 Per Copy

The tables above cover our standard quantities. Runs above 2,000 copies fall outside that schedule and are priced individually, which is where our rate drops as far as $0.07 per copy.

We don't publish those tiers because they depend on the specifics — page count, paper, single or double sided, finishing, and how much lead time you can give us. If your project is large enough that the published rates feel high, send us the details and we'll quote it properly. There's no obligation and no account to set up.

  • Send your file, quantity, size, paper preference, and deadline
  • We'll come back with a firm delivered price, shipping included
  • Same-day printing still applies where the schedule allows
Price Comparison

What 100 Color Copies Actually Cost

Advertised per-page rates are easy to compare and often misleading — setup charges and shipping do most of the damage. So here is the number that matters: what you pay, delivered, for a real order of 100 single-sided letter color copies.

Where Printing Shipping Total delivered
My Color Copies $36.00 $10.00 $46.00
DocuCopies $42.26 $20.32 $62.58
Staples — self-service $59 – $69 — (you drive) $59 – $69
FedEx Office (Kinko's) $71 – $76 — (you drive) $71 – $76
Staples — full-service $89 – $109 — (you drive) $89 – $109

DocuCopies figures are their own quoted prices for 100 single-sided color copies, checked August 2026. Retail chain figures are commonly reported ranges for the same date — neither Staples nor FedEx Office publishes a single national per-page price, and rates vary by store, paper, and whether you use the self-service machine or the counter. Our figure is our published 100–249 letter rate on 24lb Hammermill.

Two things worth noticing. Our shipping is $10 flat, less than half the $20.32 charged by the online printer above — and it's free once your order passes $125. And the retail counters aren't close: on 100 copies you'd pay $13 to $63 more at Staples or FedEx, plus the trip.

Where Each Option Actually Makes Sense

Go to a retail counter if…

You need the copies in your hands within the hour, you're printing fewer than about 25 pages, or you need to inspect a physical proof before committing. Convenience is what you're buying, and it's a fair trade when the deadline is today.

Order from us if…

You can wait 2–3 days for delivery. You'll pay roughly a third of retail, skip the trip, and get consistent results on every reorder. Order by 11:00 AM MST and it ships the same day.

Common Questions

Color Copy Questions, Answered

How much should a color copy cost?

It depends on where you print and how many you need. At a retail counter like Staples or FedEx Office, expect roughly $0.59 to $1.09 per letter page as of August 2026. Online printers are considerably cheaper because there's no storefront to pay for.

Our published letter rate starts at $0.36 per copy for 100–249 and drops to $0.24 at 2,000 and above. Very large runs outside our standard schedule are quoted individually and can go as low as $0.07 per copy.

What is the cheapest way to make color copies?

Order online, order in quantity, and keep the specification simple. Three things drive the price down more than anything else:

  • Volume. Our letter rate falls from $0.36 to $0.24 between 100 copies and 2,000 — a third off, for the same file.
  • Standard paper. Our base 24lb and 28lb Hammermill is included. Gloss and cover upgrades add $0.05 to $0.30 per page and often aren't necessary.
  • Two-sided printing. Two sides on one sheet is cheaper than two sheets, and it halves your shipping weight.

Printing at home is rarely cheaper once you account for consumer ink, which runs several times the per-page cost of commercial toner.

How much do color copies cost at Staples, FedEx, or Kinko's?

As of August 2026, Staples self-service color commonly runs $0.59–$0.69 per letter page and the full-service counter $0.89–$1.09. FedEx Office (formerly Kinko's) typically runs $0.71–$0.76.

Neither chain publishes a single national rate, so your local store is the final word. For comparison, our 250–499 letter rate is $0.32 per copy with $10 flat shipping, or free shipping over $125.

How fast will my order ship?

Orders placed and paid by 11:00 AM Mountain Time, Monday through Friday, ship the same day. After that they go out the next business day. Delivery is USPS Priority Mail, typically 2–3 days.

If you're working to a deadline, call or text (801) 491-6931 before you order and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

How much is shipping, and is there a minimum order?

Shipping is $10 flat on any size order, and free on orders over $125. There's no weight-based calculation and no surprise at checkout.

Our published pricing starts at 100 copies. Smaller quantities and unusual jobs are welcome — just request a quote and we'll price it.

What file formats do you accept?

Send a print-ready PDF where possible — it's the most reliable format and preserves your fonts and layout. We also accept common image formats, and files in either CMYK or RGB color mode.

If your artwork runs to the edge of the page, include bleed. Not sure whether your file is print-ready? Send it with your quote request and we'll check it before anything prints.

What paper do you print on, and can I upgrade?

Standard is 98-brightness 24lb and 28lb Hammermill Premium Laser Print, included in the published price. Upgrades run from +$0.05 for 80# gloss text up to +$0.30 for 100# gloss cover on tabloid, depending on size and stock.

Cutting is $5.00 per 500 pages, folding $0.02 per page, saddle-stitching $0.25 per booklet, and comb binding starts at $1.95.

About My Color Copies

A Real Print Shop in Mapleton, Utah

We're not a marketplace or a broker. Your file is printed on our equipment, by the people who answer the phone, at 616 West 600 South in Mapleton — and we've been printing for businesses since 2008.

Most of our work is the unglamorous printing that businesses, churches, schools, and families actually need. Handouts and packets. Presentation materials. Sunday programs. Restaurant menus. Newsletters that go out every month. Flyers for a fundraiser, a banner for a family reunion, funeral programs on two days' notice. Some customers order once. A lot of them order the same thing every month for years.

What We Print

  • Color and black-and-white copies — letter, legal, and tabloid, single or double sided, on 98-brightness 24lb and 28lb Hammermill or upgraded stocks
  • Flyers, brochures, and menus — including folding, cutting, and finishing
  • Booklets and newsletters — saddle-stitched or comb bound
  • Banners and posters — large format, up to event size
  • Funeral programs — usually on short notice, which we understand
  • 12″×18″ printing on matte, gloss, and 14pt coated cover

Why Our Prices Are Lower

No storefront, no counter staff, no franchise fees. A retail print shop has to cover rent on a visible location and someone standing at the register, and that's most of the reason the same 100 color copies run $59 to $109 there and $46 delivered here. We put that money into equipment and paper instead.

The other half is focus. We're not selling you office supplies or shipping boxes on the way past. You send a file, we print it properly, and it goes out the door.

Same-Day Printing — and What That Actually Means

Orders placed and paid by 11:00 AM Mountain Time, Monday through Friday, ship the same day. Not "usually" — that's the cutoff, and if we can't hit it we'll tell you before you pay rather than after. Delivery is USPS Priority Mail, typically 2–3 days once it ships, for a flat $10 or free over $125.

If you're up against a deadline, call or text (801) 491-6931 before you order. We'd rather tell you honestly that a date is tight than take the job and disappoint you.

Not sure what you need? Send us the file, the quantity, and the date you need it by. We'll tell you what it costs delivered, flag anything about the file that will cause trouble in print, and point you to the cheaper option if there is one. Quotes are free and there's no account to create.

We also print wedding invitations, announcements, and Christmas cards through our sister shop, MCC Wedding Invitations.
